ALASKA'S STORY

Brandon Mcmillan along with some of the Tate & Taylor team headed out to the desert to rescue a reported stray battling to survive in the California desert.

The beginning of his story is unknown, but he was likely abandoned in the desert, a notorious dumping ground. He eventually discovered a neighborhood under construction near the desert. The construction workers reported feeding and providing water for him for a month, but they couldn't get close enough to catch him. With the houses almost complete, his food supply was about to run out, forcing him to move on. Moreover, the summer temperatures often reach 115 degrees, posing a lethal threat to him.

Brandon set a trap for over two hours, but he didn't take the bait. At this point, the team had to flush him into a backyard where he had no escape routes. He displayed aggression, mainly because he was cornered, but Brandon knew it was just a front. Once Brandon got him into position, he used a catch rope to lasso him. With that, he was safely caught, and he pulled Alaska into the shade to calm him down.

After a two-hour drive back to the ranch, Alaska was introduced to Brandon's pack. Initially defensive, he soon realized the pack wasn't a threat. From that moment on, he became a total cuddle bug. All ends well for another desert dog, with the only remaining task being to find him a home.
